And just like that, it's over: According to multiple sources including the New York Times' Dave Itzkoff and E! Online, NBC has canceled Community after five seasons. Rumors were floating around about this possibility yesterday, but we—as we're sure many Community fans were—had been hoping they'd be proved false with a renewal and promise of the #sixseasonsandamovie dream come true.
Though the news just broke, adding to the confirmation is series star Joel McHale: he just posted a cryptic tweet minutes later.
The dream is over.
