Depsite being a now-last-gen game, Dark Souls II is already one of the most anticipated released of 2014. As well it should be – a follow-up to From Software’s intensely hardcore breakout hit (y’know, beyond Demon’s Souls) with a new director and a new (no less difficult, in some ways) approach should prove greatly, uh, immersive for RPG fans.
Namco-Bandai has released some new screens, some of which will be familiar to those lucky few that were able to participate in the game’s closed beta in October. Almost all of them have that wonderfully imposing (or diminished) sense that Dark Souls’ realm of Lordran does so well, so try not to have nightmares.
