Samsung fans can breathe easy— Apple's motion to have the Galaxy S IIIblocked from sale in the U.S. has been denied by a U.S. District Court judge.
Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose rejected Apple's request for an injunction, which alleged that the Galaxy S III, already on sale in Europe, infringed on at least two of its patents. Koh said Apple was asking for too much with the motion, given that she is already overseeing a much larger patent suit between the two companies involving multiple other devices.
Samsung's new flagship smartphone, which boasts a 4.7 inch 720p display, 8 megapixel camera and Tegra III processor, will go on sale as scheduled June 21.
