Party at Miley Cyrus' house! Ughh, not really.

Police were called to the singer's crib in Los Angeles yesterday after they received a report about a home invasion— with possible shots fired— going down. Except when they got there, nothing of the sort was taking place.

According to TMZ, the police sent in the full brigade— a helicopter and officers with high powered weapons— who posted up all around the house, guns drawn, ready to take down Miley's would-be opposers.

Then they realized that...err... nobody was home.

They chalked the whole thing up to a prank called "swatting," which is when a prank caller basically makes up an emergency just so cops will respond, all while they look on from some bushes in the distance, laughing to themselves and perhaps filming it so they can put it on YouTube later.

Pesky kids!
