Nance is best known for writing, directing, and producing The Oversimplification of Her Beauty, a film that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012. Now he’s back to shift the collective consciousness once more.
In addition to working his well-documented magic behind the camera, the Dallas born auteur will also appear on-screen beside revered guest stars including Jon Hamm and Whoopi Goldberg.
Ranging from dramatic performances, to musical pieces, to stop motion animation, each episode of Random Acts is made up of a series of distinct yet complementary sketches, held together by a common theme—affirmations of black life.
