According to TMZ, the stunt woman—whose identity is currently being withheld—was on a motorcycle that went airborne during a scene. Witnesses said the stunt woman did not hit the brakes on the bike, which flew into the glass of a studio on the ground floor of Shaw Tower. The Vancouver Police Department tweeted about the incident, and revealed that an investigation is underway.

This is the latest in a string of incidents involving stunts on the sets of popular movies and television shows. In July, stuntman John Bernecker fell from a 25-foot balcony to his death on the set of The Walking Dead, and over the weekend, Tom Cruise was injured during a stunt attempt on the Mission: Impossible 6 set.

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds released a statement on the incident. "We're heartbroken, shocked, and devastated... but recognize nothing can come close to the grief and inexplicable pain her family and loved ones must feel in this moment," he wrote. "My heart pours out to them."

As of right now, there's no word on how this tragedy will impact the shooting schedule of Deadpool 2. We will keep you posted on this horrific incident and more as news develops.
