Texas Woman Sues Police for Rupturing Implant
"This isn't supposed to be comfortable."
Rebecca Van Hooser was nabbed by police last October, and now she's suing them for it. Van Hooser claims that Pantego Police Officer Eric Alvarez used excessive force when he arrested her during a traffic stop, which led to her breast implant rupturing. Alvarez pulled Van Hooser over for a headlight violation, then discovered that she had a warrant out for an unpaid speeding ticket.
Van Hooser claims that the incident caused her right breast implant to split, leaking fluid into her body. Her attorney, Susan Hutchinson, says that the arrest has caused Van Hooser several health issues. Hutchinson says her client suffered two hematomas, and will have to undergo a partial mastectomy, a tissue transplant, and a new implant.
