A San Diego police officer who was trying to take down a parole violator with a Taser also struck a toddler. Police were reportedly chasing a parole violator through Southland Plaza Shopping Center in Nestor, CA last week when one of the Taser barbs hit a 3-year-old girl instead of the suspect. According to the San Diego Union Tribune, neither the suspect nor the child received a shock.
The little girl was treated by paramedics for a puncture wound, which they covered with a Band-Aid. The parents reportedly "understood."
