Video footage has emerged of a sheriff's deputy taking down—and eventually arresting—two Florida men in the midst of a beach brawl.

According to the Tampa Tribune, Pinellas County Sgt. Bryan Bingham was working as part of an off-duty security at the Post Card Inn on Sunday evening when he got word of roughly a dozen people fighting on St. Pete Beach. After determining who the main aggressors were, Bingham was struck by 25-year-old Joshua McMahan, resulting in Bingham grabbing McMahan by the neck.

The arrest was interrupted by Justin Lewis, also 25, who tried to interfere for unknown reasons. Bingham responded by shoving Lewis to the ground, precipitating a fight between Lewis and another man. Somehow, the anarchy increased from there:

Lewis continues to interfere with the arrest of McMahan and Bingham is forced to take him down as well.

The video shows Lewis resisting as the officer tries to hold him down with one hand and call for backup with the other.

Bingham used his knee to restrain McMahan while he placed Lewis in a headlock to keep him from resisting.

Both McMahan and Lewis were charged with disorderly conduct and battery on a law enforcement officer.
