A raucous house party drew some 2,000 teenage attendees in Canada at the end of last week, resulting in roughly $70,000 worth of damage.

The party, which took place in Brampton, Ontario on Friday night, was hosted by a 17-year-old in his parents' home that was still under construction. In an effort to explain the madness to reporters, the boy's mother said "I told my son he could have some friends over." The party was promoted on social media using the #MansionParty hashtag, and now the kid has over a thousand new friends.

Imagine thousands of teens, hopped up on youthful exuberance, the spirit of prom season and a Raptors loss going wild. That's pound to draw a police response, right? Of course. Sixty police cars descended on the party with canine and tactical units in tow following a 9:30 p.m. complaint.

The Daily Mail adds that the 5,000 square-foot-home had been under construction for years. Some of the money for repairs should come out of that kid's college fund, Project X style.
