According to the NYPD, a man swallowed the evidence after an officer caught him smoking marijuana in public.
DNAinfo reports that the officer observed Dejon Smith, 22, smoking weed just before midnight last Saturday. Realizing he had been caught, Smith reportedly ingested the evidence as the cop approached him. However, Smith neglected to address the open bottle of vodka, which was in plain sight.
In addition to being charged with tampering with evidence, Smith was charged with governmental obstruction. Unfortunately for Smith, his arrest revealed that he also had three other outstanding warrants.
