Heroes rarely get days off, and Capt. Craig Moreau can attest to this. On Monday, the Houston firefighter rode past an 18-wheeler that had smoke coming from its tires. He was trying to put it out with a fire extinguisher, when the driver informed him that the truck contained beer.

With the tire burning, Moreau and the driver poured several cans of Coor's Banquet onto it. Though it ultimately exploded, the beer extinguished the fire before it spread.

"It's in our nature to help folks, but this is the first time I've done it with beer," Moreau told the Houston Chronicle. All in a day's work, even though it was his day off.
