As anticipated, the response to Trojan's free sex toy giveaway was overwhelmingly positive, but the pleasure mission experienced a serious hiccup in the New York's Flatiron District yesterday. Folks were lined up around the block to receive free Pulse toys, but a Gothamist tipster said that a representative told everyone around 4 p.m. that the mayor's office shut the operation down.
A spokesperson from the mayor's office released a statement saying that all commercial promotional activity would require a permit, which Trojan apparently did not have. The event's production company will work with the mayor's office to make sure they have one secured, otherwise there will be a lot of pissed off women (and men).
