The legalization of recreational marijuana in Colorado has influenced some businesses positively and others negatively, as evidenced by the actions of one barber.
According to the New York Daily News, Hugo Corral has banned customers who reek of weed from entering his Greeley, Colo. business, Hugo's Barber Shop. "I feel that it's my right to make the statement. It's the same thing as no shoes no service," he explained to CBS Denver.
Though Corral says he's in favor of the state's new legislature, he's resorting to this because parents have complained about the odor. "A mother calls and says hey we can't go in there anymore because we don't want it to smell like marijuana when my child's sitting there waiting," he said.
While parents have praised him for being conscientious and considerate, some have threatened lawsuits.
