While a bunch of idiots continue to debate if Amy Schumer is hot enough to be on TV, the comedian continues to flourish. HBO announced today Schumer will film her first comedy special for the network later this month at New York City's Apollo Theater. In a display of real recognizing real, Chris Rock will direct the special that'll air by the end of the year.

She killed it hosting the MTV Movie Awards and has already delivered a couple of classic sketches just three weeks into the third season of Inside Amy Schumer. Her first screenplay, Trainwreck, which premiered at SXSW, is due to release in theaters July 17.
