If you can abide watching movies on TV with commercials but sans profanity/graphic violence, and lightly edited for time, then FX is basically the go-to these days. When they're not running original heat like Sons of Anarchy or American Horror Story, they're playing movies. And when it comes to acquiring new heat they don't play around. Straight Outta Compton hasn't even been out for a full week, and yet the network has already scored the commercial US television premiere rights. That's in addition to the latest Mission: Impossible, Jurassic World, Furious 7, Minions and Trainwreck. So if you're too cheap for HBO, then you know which channel's your best bet for contemporary blockbuster fire.
