There’s been a lot of talk lately about white privilege, but what if you want to take that talk to the next level? You can turn that chatter into a yearly trek to discuss it with some like-minded people.

If you raise your eyebrows when you see the name “White Privilege Conference,” you’re probably not alone. But really, it isn’t what it looks like. The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs has put on the conference every year since 1999, with a stated mission that it “strives to empower and equip individuals to work for equity and justice through self and social transformation.”

So, to recap, it’s definitely not a celebration of and discussion about how to maintain white privilege. Kind of the opposite, in fact. If you’re interested, next year’s edition will take place March 10-14 in Louisville, Ky.
