Fox News Continues to Lack a Moral Compass, Trolls an Already Fragile Populace

Fox News decided it was a good idea to invoke Martin Luther King Jr. when denouncing the protestors in Ferguson, MO.

Nobody has ever accused Fox News of being sensitive or even remotely in tune to how people feel about tense, racially-charged situations. Really, being tone-deaf is part of their ethos.

But even for them, this is low.

Clearly trying to even further unnerve those already distressed about the Michael Brown protests in Ferguson, Missouri, Fox used this graphic today during their coverage. Because, duh, Martin Luther King Jr. totally was opposed to protesting?

Obviously, you can’t expect much out of Fox in the way of unbiased journalism. But for a group of all-white reporters and anchors to so brazenly and callously use the renowned civil rights leader’s words to denounce protestors is a truly embarrassing attempt at grabbing headlines rather than reporting the actual news.

The best way to combat this race-baiting, pathetic attempt at trolling viewers and non-viewers alike is to completely ignore them. Fox News is like the annoying sibling tugging at your sleeve in a bid to get your attention, and when you continue to ignore them they start acting out. By humoring them, you only give them what they want.
