We've been fans of the Image S4 since it debuted over two years ago. Comfortable, durable, and powerful, Klipsch's mini in-ear model does well with acurately recreating sounds while keeping most of the distracting background noise—babies crying, subway performers, loud conversationalists—blocked out. Oh, and though we found 'em to be pretty sturdy, if you do manage to break 'em, don't worry—buy the Image S4s new and you're covered by a two-year replacement warranty.

The IE2s are the cheapest pair of headphones you can currently buy from Bose. That said, they're better than the best models most brands offer. Thanks to Bose's StayHear tips, these may be the most comfortable headphones on this list. Though they're not meant for athletic activity, they won't fall out of your ear if you have to do a brisk jog to catch a train. Oh, and they sound great like all Bose products do.

With Beats by Dr. Dre hogging the spotlight, it's easy to forget Monster Cable—that company that builds the Beats line—makes headphones, too. Good ones, at that. We gave the company's Turbine Pro Gold a great review, but realized most people can't afford to drop over $300 on headphones. No worries, then, as Monster has served up a nice pair of entry level in-ear headphones in the Lil' Jamz. Monster suggests you drop $90, but if you head to Amazon you can get 'em for $60. Good money.

Sounding everybit as a good as the full-sized over-ear Plattan model, the Bagis is a great alternative for those who want a decent pair of headphones in a color that's not white, silver, or black.

If you detest the earbuds that came with your i-device, Apple has a solution for you: the In-Ear Headphones. At $80 they're on the pricey side considering the build construction—they err on the flimsy side—but the sound and fit is top notch. The set comes with three ear tips, a built-in mic, and built-in volume buttons for easy iPod control. There's a third, hidden button: If you press the space between the volume controls twice the next song will place, press it three times and the previous song will play.

The good people at Astro makes it their business to ensure you hear exactly what game developers and sound engineers meant for you to hear. That's why we loved the A30 headset, and also why we dig the A*Stars. They're a bit on the heavy side—the control module that incorporates the mic, volume, and play buttons, tends to pull the headphones down while walking—but they sound great.

We had to show some love to those of you that prefer your in-ear headphones to wrap around your ears. We know you're out there, and Nixon's newest in-ear model is for you. Complete with a three-button remote that can control your iPhone or iPod, an 8 MM driver that delivers quality sound, and a cool design, it's one of Nixon's best.

We're guessing the CX 380 is close to being discontinued because you can now get a pair for $37 through Amazon. If you're in the market for a pair of good headphones you can workout in, jump on it. Sweat and water-resistant with a sound befitting its original $100 price tag. We call that a win.

The FMJ's surprised us. We didn't expect a pair of Skullcandy earbuds to be so powerful, but these blew us away. Bass-fiends should look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a solid, clean pair of in-ears, the Skullcandy FMJ's should have your attention. Especially now that you can get them for $45.
