Before Valentine’s Day, we were content regarding T-Swizzle as the good girl of pop/country music trying too hard to win over America. Now, after seeing the star-studded cheese fest (on top of her '80s rom-com music videos), we can’t help but liken her to our overachieving 12-year-old niece acting in a school play. We have to be nice, but it’s hard to sit still through it all. Hopefully, her role in Tom Hooper's highly-anticipated Les Miserables disproves everything we just said.

Honestly, our sense of what Heather is like in person is entirely overshadowed by her character on Glee. As Brittany S. Pierce, she's more than capable of making audiences question her grasp on reality. In real life, we’re sure she doesn’t that dogs poop chocolate bars or that leprechauns will give her a box of all-marshmallow Lucky Charms, but her most famous role makes it seem that way.

The former Blossom star never had conventional roles, which might explain her equally unconventional public persona. She seems to have plenty in common with her genius character Amy on The Big Bang Theory, including her personal style and the fact that she’s a real life scientist. Though she may not be as socially inept as Amy, everything about Bialik exudes an inescapable sense of nerdy nostalgia that makes it difficult for us to escape those memories of the early '90s.

Her "La Roux meets Close Encounters of the Third Kind" look definitely gives spectators second thoughts about how to interact with her. Fortunately for Tilda, her standoffish persona only adds to her impressive acting ability. Just watch her as a void, grief-stricken mother in 2011’s most disturbing drama, We Need to Talk About Kevin.

If you’re routinely described as “adorkable,” then there has to be something off about you. Zooey's character Jess on New Girl seems to be a heightened version of herself: a cute girl in a babydoll dress who’s so innocent that she has to say the word “peernis” to describe the male anatomy.

The star of The Heart, She Holler and voice actor for Bob’s Burgers has everything it takes to pull off her gawkiness: a quirky smile, an uninhibited acting style, and a joke set that involves a mention of Terri Schiavo. She's a comedian, so making us giggle in discomfort is her job.

In the '90s, Heather defined what it meant to be awkward and she reminds us of that every time we see her. As the bumbling star of the cult-classic, Welcome to the Dollhouse, her character made heavily embroidered sweaters, unpopularity, and sociopathic obsessions with mullet-haired older men all seem somewhat endearing.

We can't tell if what we feel from watching Parks and Recreation's resident cynic is awkwardness or fear for our life. Her signature death stare and deadpan delivery makes her soul as difficult to discern as our emotions.

To date anyone, you must be compatible with the other person. That’s what makes Knocked Up’s pothead and House's new intern Charlyne Yi’s (reported) relationship with Michael Cera, the King of the Mousy Voice and Dawdling Mannerisms, so easy to believe. Like Cera, Yi comes complete with a penchant for cutesy acoustic songs, a puppy dog stare face, and the ability to initiate paralyzing awkward silences.

At this point, Kristen's awkwardness, both in her roles and her interviews, precedes her. In fact, her name can’t even be mentioned without inducing an image of her flipping her hair and discombobulating her shoulders. We wish we could credit that clumsiness to all of her blood loss from giving birth to a vampire baby, but that wouldn’t account for all of the other painful moments before Breaking Dawn.
