The founder of an alternative school in Georgia says she's sorry for a comment about black people that went viral after several people caught it on video during the school's graduation ceremony.
According to NBC News, Nancy Gordeuk accidentally ended the TNT Academy graduation ceremony before allowing the valedictorian to speak. Some people were already leaving when she asked everyone to come back for the speech.
When everyone didn't return, Gordeuk blurted out over the microphone, "Look who's leaving. All the black people."
As you can see from the video, that's when everyone really did leave.
"When I looked up all I saw was black families leaving, and thus the comment," she told NBC. "I deeply apologize for my actions made in the emotional state of trying to let this last student finish his speech."
Worst school principal ever, or nah?
