Varietyreports the forthcoming spinoff series will feature guest appearances from members of the original cast, including Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, and Wilmer Valderrama.
The only main cast member who will not return is Danny Masterson, as he is set to stand trial on multiple sexual assault allegations.
Back in October, Netflix ordered 10 episodes of the series, with original creators Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner writing and executive-producing alongside their daughter Lindsey Turner. On the casting front, only Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp, who played parents Red and Kitty Forman in the original series, will reprise their roles in That ‘90s Show.
Here’s the official synopsis for the new series: “Hello, Wisconsin! It’s 1995 and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red. Sex, drugs and rock ’n roll never dies, it just changes clothes.”
That ’70s Show originally aired on Fox, running for eight seasons (1998-06) and 200 episodes.
