There's a new Aquaman tease swimming around, testing the water-related pun skills of underpaid pop culture news writers all over the world.

The latest glimpse at director James Wan's take on the DC Extended Universe character arrives on the heels of a new poster for the long-awaited film, notably featuring the tagline, "A tide is coming." In the latest look, Aquaman describes himself as a "product of the love that never should have been." We also get a glimpse at the two eras the film will encompass, as well as another look at those awesome battle sharks.

In addition to star Jason Momoa, who previously held down the title role in Batman v Superman and Justice League, Wan's DC entry features an undeniably stacked supporting cast. Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, Dolph Lundgren, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II also star. Catch the latest look up top.

As for fans looking the most forward to a romantic arc between Arthur and Mera, Wan told Collider earlier this year that he's personally more focused on a different pairing. "I know a lot of fans are excited for the love story between Arthur and Mera," Wan said back in July, "but for me, the movie is as much, if not more, the love story between Tom Curry and Queen Atlanna, how Queen Atlanna, from a completely different kingdom, far more civilized, so to speak, than we are, could fall in love with a simple human being on the surface."

Aquaman opens Dec. 21.
