Kim Kardashian Shuts Down Claims Her Ex-Assistant Is a 'Nemesis'

After Kim Kardashian decided to part ways with Stephanie Shepard, her personal assistant of four years, in November, narratives around their relationship turned sour. Several outlets reported Shepard became Kim’s “nemesis” and that the relationship ended on bad terms.

Kim is now shooting down those claims by tweeting out that Shepard was never an enemy of hers, and that they have been, and remain, close friends. “We simply stopped working together but we have always remained super close friends,” she tweeted on Sunday.

Please stop with this fake narrative. She was NEVER my nemesis. We simply stopped working together but we have always remained super close friends. https://t.co/dJeXRQbeFL

The KKW beauty mogul tweeted this in response to a Daily Mail article that reported Mrs. West sent happy birthday wishes to her “nemesis.”

Kim decided to part ways with her assistant, who joined the team in 2013, after she made Shepard the COO of Kardashian West Brands. The transition from personal assistant to business partner apparently didn’t work out. “Kim gave her the chance but after a short period of time, it became clear that Stephanie just didn’t have the knowledge to take on a role like that. Kim made an executive decision to part ways,” a source told People at the time.

The former assistant seems to be doing just fine since her work with the Kardashians ended. She has modeled for several brands and still spends time with the family every once in a while. She attended the CFDA awards that honored Kim alongside Kourtney back in February.

So Kim and Steph aren’t enemies, but the reality star has yet to address accusations that she copied ideas from jewelry designer Tanaya Henry.
