Unlike us mere pedestrians, Seth Rogen was alerted to Trump's Stormy Daniels connection years ago.

Rogen, whose films Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin both featured Daniels in small parts, relayed his insider knowledge on the tryst on the most recent episode of Ellen DeGeneres' show. "I've known Stormy Daniels a long time, and I'll be honest, she may have mentioned some of this stuff around 10 years ago," he said.

He went on: "At the time, when you ask a porn star who they've been sleeping with and they say Donald Trump, it was like the least surprising thing she could have said. So yeah, she had mentioned it actually. She did mention it. Again, at the time it wasn't that surprising and then as his campaign rolled out, it became clear that no one cared about anything he did, so it didn't really occur to me even that it would come out or anyone would care about it. Then when I saw it, I was like 'Oh yeah! Stormy told us all about that.'"

Though Rogen hasn't spoken with Daniels in years, he's still proud of what she's doing. "She's clearly done well with herself," he said. Later, he broke down how she ended up being hired for multiple Rogen x Judd Apatow projects. "In our movies sometimes, there was two scenes in strip clubs, and we realized it was easier to hire porn stars to play strippers rather than to get actresses to play strippers that are not in porn," Rogen said. "For Stormy, that was the easiest thing she did all week. If your goal is to be a more mainstream actress, it’s perhaps a step down. For Stormy, it seemed lateral at worst and perhaps an easy day on set."

Trump, most known among the general public for his work as a neo-Nazi sympathizer and general emblem of despicability, is currently embroiled in what Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti has described as "legal buffoonery." According to Avenatti, their case is growing stronger with each misguided TV appearance from a Trump defender.
