Tom Hardy Finally Got His Leonardo DiCaprio Tattoo After Losing That Oscar Nomination Bet

Leo bet that Tom would get an Oscar nomination for his role in 'The Revenant'.

Before the 2016 Oscar nominations were announced, Tom Hardy made a promise to his Revenant co-star Leonardo DiCaprio. In a feature with Esquire, he talked about making a bet with Leo, explaining that he needed to book himself an appointment for a tattoo because of it. Leo wagered Hardy would receive an Oscar nomination for his role in The Revenant, while Hardy thought he wouldn't. In fact, he bet a tattoo of Leo's choosing that he wouldn't.

"He wrote, in this really shitty handwriting: 'Leo knows everything.' Ha! I was like, 'OK, I'll get it done, but you have to write it properly,'" he explained to Esquire at the time. And of course, he was subsequently nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his work in The Revenant. After a long delay, it would appear that Hardy finally held up his side of the bet and got the tattoo, albeit in a slightly different form.

Instead of 'Leo knows everything,' it looks like Hardy settled on a simpler 'Leo knows all' tattoo in the end. The tattoo can be seen in a photo shared on Instagram by photographer Andrew Calisterio. The bicep tattoo might be almost two years late, but it's nice to know that Hardy is a man of his word.
