Did she or didn't she? It's been almost 10 years since the Amanda Knox case, and we're about to be morbidly obsessed again when the Netflix true crime doc premieres September 30. Amanda Knox aims to look at every side of the complicated case about the woman accused of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher while studying abroad in England. Knox was convicted twice and acquitted twice in Italian courts; she's viciously hated and also a victim of a legal nightmare.

There are more twists to the story than a murder mystery thriller, which is why the media and public have been so fascinated with it for so long. The current viewership climate is perfect for a show like Amanda Knox: Netflix made a hit out of Making a MurdererAmerican Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson is one of this year's best shows; and now there's the JonBenet Ramsey show. And we've also seen how entertainment can actually influence actual legal standing: Adnan Syed from Serial was granted a re-trial while Making a Murderer's Brendan Dassey was released. What could this mean for Amanda Knox's future, and her reputation?

"If I'm innocent, it means that everyone's vulnerable, and that's everyone's nightmare," Knox says in a talking head in the trailer above. "Either I'm a psychopath in sheep's clothing or I am you." Damn, this already sounds like a mindfuck on the levels of Serial season one. The Netflix original documentary promises to look at every available information while shedding light on how that information was handled by the authorities.
