Remember when Back to the Future predicted that we’d travel almost exclusively via skyway and would have no more use for roads by now? Well that definitely didn’t happen but, thanks to an ingenious gentleman (really, though, nice high socks) in the U.K., we’re getting one step closer to that ever elusive dream.

In a six-minute video uploaded to YouTube, the crafty engineer shows off his special invention—the Manned Aerial Vehicle Multirotor Super Drone. The name sounds terrifying but don’t worry, its bark is bigger than its bite. The craft only stays airborne for a few seconds at a time before lightly tapping the ground and hopping back into the air. At one point, he nearly gets swept away by a gust of wind. And don’t even think about bringing your crew along for the ride—this single-seater only holds up to roughly 326 pounds at a time.

While they’ve got quite a few kinks to work out before it can go on extended journeys, this sure does make for one neat party attraction. Not bad for 54 counter-rotation propellers strapped to a makeshift lawn chair.
