Man Wanted in Connection with Shooting That Killed Two in Milwaukee Commits Suicide

Court records show he struggled with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

According to police in Wisconsin, the suspect wanted in connection with the shooting that left two people dead following a car accident that killed a toddler over the weekend has committed suicide. 

The Associated Press reports that 27-year-old Ricky Chiles III fatally shot himself inside of a hotel near Chicago today. Milwaukee police had secured a warrant for his arrest after he killed Archie Brown Jr., 40, on Sunday. According to the Associated Press, Brown accidentally hit Chiles' 2-year-old nephew, Damani Terry, with his vehicle on Sunday, killing the boy. Terry had reportedly wandered into the street during a family gathering at the time of the tragedy.

Chiles' other nephew, 15-year-old Rasheed Chiles, was subsequently struck by a stray bullet. The Associated Press notes that he later died at an area hospital.

WISN-TV reports that Chiles had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
