In between all the death threats he's had to shrug off since playing a pivotal role in the reemergence of Bill Cosby's increasingly troubling rape allegations, Hannibal Buress found time to recently agree to host the 19th Annual Webby Awards this year.
Of course, this is certifiably tremendous news for the web — and world — at large because Hannibal Buress should actually just host everything. I mean Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, SAG awards, whatever the hell Spike TV does now. All of it. When he's not absolutely slaying hecklers at his own show, he's calmly delivering the best (though unaired) line of the night at the recent Comedy Central roast of our fallen prince Justin Bieber.
As Buress season is generously a year-round affair, we should also remain thankful for the impending arrival of Why? With Hannibal Buress, a new half-hour series headed for Comedy Central very soon.
