It's been over two weeks since bystanders captured footage of LAPD officers fatally shooting an unarmed homeless man, but police officials have finally released the names of the sergeant and two officers who fired the shots to the public.

Sgt. Chand Syed and Officers Francisco Martinez and Daniel Torres were identified in the March 1st shooting of Charley Keunang. All three policemen had reportedly never fired their weapon in the line of duty prior to this encounter.

The chaotic cell phone footage has stirred public outrage since going viral on Facebook and Twitter. The LAPD claims the officers were attempting to intervene in a robbery/assault involving the victim and were forced to open fire when Keunang allegedly reached for an officer's firearm during a scuffle.

The three men have been relegated to administrative duties while the current investigation is underway.
