There's finally a trailer for the much-anticipated documentary Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, and if you're not intrigued after watching it, you're most likely a Scientologist. Actually, Scientologists will probably want to see this too.
The film, based on the book Going Clear by Pulitzer-winning New Yorker writer Lawrence Wright, follows eight former members of the church, and is directed by Oscar-winner Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side).
The documentary premiered at Sundance (with police protection on the red carpet) and reportedly claims that the church intimidates, manipulates and even tortures its members.
The week before it premiered at the festival, the Church of Scientology took out two full-page ads in the New York Times and Los Angeles Times saying the movie is full of lies.
It premieres on HBO on March 29.
