Hospitals can be very drab, depressing places. So it’s nice when artists brighten them up a bit.

Maybe not like this though. The Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital in Auvergne has a delightful fresco showing of an all-superhero gang bang, with Wonder Woman spread out on her back, and Superman, Batman and Supergirl all going at her. The Flash is also getting a hand job.

Delightful, right? Well, despite the painting apparently having been there for years, the hospital has recently come under fire from French feminist group Osez le Féminisme, and is now painting over it. The mural had been recently defaced by disgruntled medical students protesting against health reforms, by adding speech bubbles comparing the government’s treatment of the healthcare service to rape. This seems to have brought attention to it, and the suggestions that maybe a hospital shouldn’t have large graphic depictions of superhero sex on it’s wall.
