A drone carrying meth crashed at a Mexico City market earlier this week, authorities say.
According to the Associated Press, the drone crashed in the market's parking lot on Tuesday night in close proximity to the San Ysidro crossing, right by the Mexico-California border. The Associated Press adds that the device featured six packages, each weighing over six pounds. An investigation into the drone's origin continues.
Jorge Murrua, spokesman for the Tijuana police, acknowledged that this is not the first time this method of drug-smuggling has been implemented near the border. It likely won't be the last, either.
