Ratings monster The Walking Dead is also a social media beast. According to Nielson, the zombie drama was by far the most tweeted about series of 2014 with 576,000 tweets per episode. Pretty Little Liars was the runner up with 487,000 tweets, and Scandal came in third with 391,000.
Of course, the Super Bowl is king. The lopsided matchup between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks drew 25.32 million tweets to crush everything else on television this year. As far as non-sports specials, the Grammys beat out the Oscars with 13.77 million and 11.63 million tweets, respectively.
There's no word on how many spoiler tweets were posted, but none were as grievous as The Walking Dead's Facebook gaffe immediately after the mid-season finale.
