It Only Took 30 Minutes for This Car Thief to End Up Behind Bars Again

Old habits die hard.

A Washington man was arrested earlier this week for stealing a car 30 minutes after being released from jail following a five-month stay for car theft.

The Smoking Gun reports that 21-year-old Kyle Matthews was released from Whitman County Jail on Wednesday and strolled over to a Colifax, Wash. supermarket. He proceeded to enter a running vehicle, fleeing in it. When responding police stopped him, he fled on foot, but was apprehended by a state trooper.

Matthews was charged with auto theft, attempting to elude, possession of stolen property, and more. Worse (better, actually), he's right back in the facility he called home for the past five months.
