Police in California are looking for two men in connection with a hit-and-run that left three teenage girls dead last night.
According to the Associated Press, the girls, all 13-years-old, were crossing the street by a Santa Ana, Calif. elementary school just before 7 p.m. when a speeding SUV struck them. The girls reportedly had the right of way.
Two of the victims were declared dead at the scene; the other died as emergency responders were preparing to take her to the hospital.
Santa Ana Police Chief Carlos Rojas told KABC that a witness followed the vehicle briefly, leading police to where its inhabitants abandoned it, fleeing the scene on foot.
