News that teens—particularly well-off teens—like smoking hookah shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who was ever a teen themselves, but in case there was any doubt we now have a study to prove it.
Timereports that one in five high school seniors smoke hookah occasionally. The study was conducted by Pediatrics, who surveyed 15,000 high school seniors about their hookah use between 2010 and 2012. And rich kids like it best:

The piece also points out that though cigarette usage is down, there are still concerns that e-cigarettes, hookahs, and even cigars and pipes will pick up the slack. Still, it's hard to imagine kids lugging around giant water pipes instead of Camels Lights.
