Police in Connecticut arrested a man for threatening a woman by stabbing a watermelon with a butcher knife in a "passive aggressive" fashion.

According to the Register Citizen, the woman called police in Thomaston, Conn. to report that her boyfriend, 49-year-old Carmine Cervellino, menaced her by stabbing a watermelon, then leaving it in the kitchen to send a message. In his police report, officer Keith Koval wrote that the victim said Cervellino opted for "passive aggressive" tactics because he was angry at her.

Cervellino's anger was allegedly triggered by the woman taking his beloved Percocet away from him. He was eventually arrested and charged with threatening and disorderly conduct.
