Dr. Sanjay Gupta's decision to switch his stance on medical marijuana has led to a Colorado dispensary creating a strain in his honor. CNN, who employs Gupta as their Chief Medical Correspondent, was not having it. While the press release was still hot, the network reached out to Boulder, Co.'sHelping Hands Dispensary, asking them to cease the sale of their "Sanjay Gupta Kush."

During a phone interview, owner Jeff Kless told Animal New York that the dispensary may have to rename the strain. “CNN phoned us and asked us to remove it. I think we’ll leave it alone for the weekend and see what happens," he said.

Kless added that Helping Hands is basically waiting on the cease and desist order's arrival. No big deal. The Sanjay Gupta Kush typically goes for $40 per an 1/8 or $13 per gram. If you want it, you'd better move swiftly.
