The Coen Brothers Will Produce A "Fargo" TV Series For FX

The cult classic is getting new life on television.

None

According to Deadline, the Coen Brothers will executive produce a television series based on their 1996 crime drama, Fargo. The show is being developed by FX and will be written by Noah Hawley (The Unusuals). There was already a pilot for a Fargo TV show back in 1997, but it never got picked up for a series.

With the Coen Brothers on as executive producers, you can bet that FX will be looking to get the best cast and crew around. Fargo is the signature movie from the duo’s early career, and we doubt that they would put their names on an inferior product. Obviously no stars have been announced yet, but we’re hoping that we might see someone from the original cast return.
