4. HTC Sensation 4G

Carrier/Price: T-Mobile, $200

T-Mobile's halo phone captured our hearts after introducing us to HTC's revamped Sense 3.0 UI, and would have easily earned top honors this year had it released during the holiday season with some minor upgrades. The Sensation 4G pieced together a gorgeous form factor, along with an 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a vibrant 4.3-inch qHD Super LCD, useful messaging and media hubs, and several niche features including wi-fi calling that made for the most well-rounded Android experience this year. The solid battery life opens the lane to indulge in some serious multitasking and Netflix sessions. Sense's new ring-drag lock screen animation and shortcuts not only showcased ingenuity for a sleep screen, but for Google's inchoate Gingerbread OS as well. Simply put: the Sensation 4G is sensational.
