It’s unfair how Solange gets overlooked. While Beyonce was doing this, Solange was busy getting into a scrap with the Miami Beach Police. It involved a banana.
When bouncers refused to let her into South Beach’s Club Cameo with a five-foot long inflatable banana, Solange labeled it a classic case of racism. MBPD says that a few off-duty cops “escorted” Solange across the street because she was being disruptive. Solange then claimed that an officer pulled a weapon on her and threatened to deflate the giant banana. Like most of our generation, Solange took to the Twitter to vent, before filing a complaint which MBPD confirms they are investigating.
I don’t know if it was a race thing, or a banana thing, but Solange got outshined once more. Even when she’s the one who got pregnant first. At the end of the day, it’s just another story for her and Beyonce to tell their kids.
But we all know they would’ve let Beyonce in with that banana.
