Nearly a year after the Droid X stormed into stores, Verizon has finally made its much-hyped successor, the Motorola Droid X2, official.
Retaining the same form and 4.3-inch screen as the X, the X2 will bring a faster, dual-core 1 GHz processor, HDMI Mirror Mode, and Mobile Hotspot capability that will allow you to share your 3G connection with up to five wi-fi devices. It will ship with Android 2.2, but will be updated to 2.3.
The Motorola X2 will hit stores on May 26 for $200 with a two-year contract, but can be pre-ordered online at Verizon Wireless on May 19. Peep the press release below.
