Sometimes you can tell a place is going to be expensive just based on the name. Need an example? How about the Auberge du Soleil resort. Sounds rich, doesn’t it? Well, trust us, La Quinta this ain't; you need some big bucks to play out here.

The Auberge du Soleil is smack dead in the middle of Napa Valley, which is located in Rutherland, California. Napa Valley is known as wine country, with more than 400 wineries spread throughout the region. So this means you can go on various winery tours and tasting adventures or stay inside and get sauced, choosing from a selection of over 1,500 wines. If getting wasted isn’t your thing—or maybe you want to recovered from getting wasted?—then you can hit up their epic, 7,000-square-foot spa, which has awesome amenities like an outdoor spa and the opportunity to engulf yourself in vineyard grapes and olive oil leaves. Of course, you can also do standard resort stuff like playing tennis, visiting the fitness center, or checking out the various eateries, including the aptly named Restaurant.

But like we said before, it’s all very California-pricey and before you even think about planning a trip your money better be right. Rooms range from $800 to $2,700 dollars a day. Eh, La Quinta anybody?
