“Written in a remote cottage in Wales and recorded in a living room home studio by David Pye (Wild Beasts, Faithless), ‘Speak’ is about being closed off and seeking isolation, about crawling into yourself to avoid confrontation. The lyrics teeter on the edge of a confession, but despite the build up, the ‘thing’ that so desperately needs to be communicated never is.”
