Compared to Lowell’s other songs, “The Bells” is a little more laid back. She channels a breezy energy and sheds the punk vibes of some of her noisier work, but it still packs a punch. Producer dd elle takes the edge off, stripping “The Bells” down to the minimum and giving Lowell’s vocals the spotlight. It’s a hypnotic, soothing concoction. Listen to the original here.
