Premiere: Alek Fin - "Mull" EP

1.

In 2012, electronic music played a huge role in the mainstream, but it was often in the more experimental leaning sounds where things got interesting. Instead of the in-your-face synths and that notorious drop, Alek Fin chooses to go the route of guys like James Blake and Nicolas Jaar. On his Mull EP, the negative space is one of the most important elements, and leaving that room to breathe allows the songs on this EP to unfold like scenes in a movie. In only four songs, all under six minutes, the EP swells, sinks, floats, and erupts with a finely-tuned consciousness.

The EP is available now on iTunes.
