Saw that You Ain’t No Picasso posted up a new Noah and the Whale cover of Daniel Johnston’s “Devil Town”. It’s good, but I still like the old Bright Eyes cover better. Noah and the Whale’s version seems a little lazy and removed. Part of the beauty of Daniel Johnston was the emotion you could hear in his voice. Bright Eyes always had that whole expressing emotion thing down, so a Daniel Johnston cover seemed fitting. Check out both.
