At the end of last year Lorine Chia released a free, self-titled album and now she’s vamping it up for round two, called Lorine Redux, which will feature some new songs like this one.
While making the album she says she was listening to artists like Amy Winehouse, James Blake, and John Legend, and those soulful R&B vibes resonate on “Fly High,” but it’s also a light, carefree track that feels a little less weighty and more pop-leaning than, say, James Blake. Good timing, too, because Lorine Redux drops this summer.
